What does feed safety mean?
Feed safety is about ensuring that animal feed is free from harmful substances and risks, making it safe for animals and, indirectly, for the food chain. This involves adhering to strict standards concerning production, processing, storage, and transport.
GMP+, which stands for Good Manufacturing Practices Plus, is an internationally recognised certification scheme specifically for the feed industry. This scheme ensures that companies like Synerlogic meet stringent requirements in terms of quality, safety, and traceability. The “Plus” refers to the application of HACCP principles (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), focusing not only on production processes but also on risk analysis and preventive measures.
The role of FSSC 22000
Our earlier certification of FSSC 22000 in June 2024 laid the foundation for smoothly and systematically achieving the GMP+ recertification. This reflects our commitment to feed safety, compliance, and reliability.
